Local AI: data handling and current limits

QuoteMap uses an open MiniLM embedding model to compare descriptions in this browser. Model and runtime files download from this site. QuoteMap’s code does not upload your quote text, send it to an inference API, save it to local storage, or track it with analytics. Reloading the page clears your quotes and review.

This tool is designed for small English-language website quotes and supports one-to-one matches only. Bundled work or scope split across several lines needs manual checking. The AI can rank the wrong item highly, so review every pairing yourself before confirming it.

In a diagnostic check of seven synthetic matching cases, the expected item ranked first in 4 of 7 cases. This small check does not establish general accuracy. Similarity scores describe how close the model’s text representations are; they do not guarantee equal scope. Quantities and prices use deterministic arithmetic.
